The Fuerte River overflows

Due to the barrage of dams, the Fuerte river overflowed and flooded some sections of the Mochicahui-Choacahui highway, in the alteño municipality.

Due to the barrage of dams, the Fuerte River overflowed and flooded some sections of the Mochicahui-Choacahui highway, in the alteño municipality, where the water reached up to one meter high.

Some inhabitants of communities that communicates said street, commented that although officials of the National Water Commission had informed them that there was no risk for the release of the dams, yesterday afternoon the river began to overflow.

This situation caused that in the flooded sections only trucks and heavy trucks could circulate, since the current of the water was very strong.

They indicated that in some stretches the water reached up to one meter deep, which meant a risk for the inhabitants of towns located along the road, which left them almost incommunicado.
